Health Coverage Tax Credit 

For TAA-eligible workers, the Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC), administered by the IRS, is a federal tax credit that covers a portion of the monthly premium for qualified health insurance. An eligible participant may claim it as an end-of-the-year income tax credit or as a monthly cash advance payment.

To remain eligible for the HCTC, TAA-eligible participant must remain eligible for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits and/or Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA)
