Workforce Development Board Funding Opportunities

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.

To advance the purpose and intent of WIOA, the State Workforce Development Board (SWDB) identifies, invests in, and supports proven and successful strategies that prepare a skilled workforce for current and emerging jobs.

ATTENTION Claimants: Don’t lose your benefits
The S.C. Legislature has changed the requirement for UI Benefits eligibility. Claimants now must make at least two (2) weekly job search contacts through SC Works Online Services at jobs.scworks.org. You must register with the site and sign on with your username and password for the search to be counted in our system.

If you do not conduct two searches through the SC Works Online System you will not receive payment for the week.
