Hiring a veteran is a win-win for a business. Not only do they bring with them soft skills like time management and leadership in addition to the technical skills learned through their military job, but when you hire a veteran there are programs that give your business incentives like tax credits and fidelity bonds for eligible employees.
In our SC Works Centers across the state, Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) representatives and Local Veterans’ Employment Representatives (LVER) can refer quality, prescreened military applicants based on your needs and qualifications of the job.
You can also find qualified military applicants by recruiting at job fairs and hiring events. If you are in need of applicants, each of our SC Works offices will work with you to either create your own hiring event or get you the information that you need to be a part of a larger job fair.
