Local Workforce Development Board

The Local Workforce Development Board (LWDB) is represented by a wide variety of individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the local area appointed by the Chief Local Elected Officials (CLEOs) and certified by the Governor every two years.

The LWDBs serve as a convener to promote and create effective relationships between CLEOs, economic, education and workforce partners. Additionally, they are tasked with developing strategies, policies and plans to continue to improve and strengthen the workforce system through innovation and alignment of employment, training and education programs to promote economic growth.
